The RSM Classic closes the 2018 PGA Tour season as the last normal event of the year. Sea Island Golf Club has played host to the event since its inception in 2010. The players will alternate between the Seaside and Plantation Course prior to the cut. The Seaside Course will be the only one played on the weekend. The two courses allow the Tour to bump the field size up to 144 players, even with the limited light available this time of the year. In a rare occurance, driving accuracy at this seaside par 70 course will be an important factor. Driver will be taken out of the the players hands. Shorter hitters have contended over the years, many of which are building substantial tag counts.

After a brief stint back in the states, the Tour jets off to Mexico for Mayakoba Golf Classic. The event has been hosted at El Camaleon Golf Club since its inception in 2007. The course has built a narrative for accuracy players that can keep the ball in play and attack with approach shots.

The Asian swing wraps up in Shanghai, China. Sheshan International Golf Club has hosted the tournament since it’s inauguration as the HSBC Champions in 2005, so course history will be back in effect. Given the sporatic play throughout the fall swing, recent form from the past two events will also be important. The course has historically seen all types of golfers have success, though the top ballstrikers appear to have a slight edge. The event is once again a no-cut event so naturally birdie-or-better percentage is the top tagged subject on FanShare Sports.

After a relatively lackluster opening to the season, the real fun begins with the Asia swing in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. TPC Kuala Lumpur has hosted since 2013. The par 72 has 4 par 5’s, of which at least three will be reachable by the majority of the field.
